During the Korean War, The US Marine Corps finest ammunition was a recoilless rifle that was six feet long and weighed over a hundred pounds. Similar to a rocket launcher, it was heavy and took many soldiers to move it. Soldiers had dubbed the rifle “reckless” because handling it was dangerous. How could the US army help its soldiers be more efficient in a disastrous war? They found their answer in a stable in Seoul in the form of a little horse they would later name Sergeant Reckless and this little filly would help end the brutal war.
